01Who we are

Insurance Gulf ("we", "us") is an insurtech company based at Office 301, Al Moosa Tower 1, Sheikh Zayed Road, Dubai, UAE. We design and manage insurance products with insurers and reinsurers and distribute them through brokers, agents and aggregators.

This policy explains how we handle personal data when you visit insurancegulf.com, contact us or work with us. If you have any questions, email [email protected].

02The data we collect

Information you give us. Your name, company, job title, email address, phone number and anything you write in an enquiry, email or call.

Partner and business data. Contact details of people at insurers, reinsurers, brokers, TPAs and other partners we work with. Portfolio, member or claims data is only received after a non-disclosure agreement is signed and, where we act for a partner, under the terms of our Data Processing Addendum.

Technical data. When you browse the site, our hosting provider records standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device and the pages you visit. The site loads fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address to deliver them.

03How we use it

• To reply to enquiries and arrange meetings.
• To set up, run and manage partnerships, products and services.
• To administer policies and claims where a partner has asked us to do so.
• To keep the website secure and working properly.
• To meet legal, regulatory and audit obligations.
• To send business updates, only where you have agreed or where the law allows. You can opt out at any time.

04Our legal grounds

We process personal data in line with the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data. Where the UK GDPR or the EU General Data Protection Regulation applies, we rely on one or more of these grounds: performing a contract with you or your organisation, our legitimate interests in running and growing our business, compliance with a legal obligation, and your consent where it is required.

Health information is special category data. We only process it where a partner has instructed us to and an appropriate legal condition applies.

05Who we share it with

• Insurers, reinsurers and TPAs involved in the products and services concerned.
• Brokers, agents and aggregators where needed to place or service cover.
• Service providers that support us, such as website hosting, email and IT providers, under contracts that protect your data.
• Regulators, courts and authorities where the law requires it.
• We do not sell personal data.

06International transfers

Some of our partners and service providers are outside the UAE. When data leaves the UAE, the UK or the EU, we use safeguards recognised by the applicable law, such as standard contractual clauses or the UK international data transfer addendum.

07How long we keep it

We keep personal data only for as long as we need it for the purposes above, or for as long as the law requires. Enquiries that do not lead to a business relationship are deleted within 24 months.

08Security

We use technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including access controls, encryption in transit and confidentiality obligations for our team and suppliers.

09Your rights

Depending on the law that applies to you, you may ask to access, correct or delete your data, restrict or object to its use, receive a copy in a portable format, or withdraw consent. Email [email protected] and we will reply within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the relevant data protection authority, for example the UAE Data Office, the UK Information Commissioner's Office or your local EU supervisory authority.

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Our hosting provider may set strictly necessary cookies to keep the site secure and working.
